With that said, you get what you pay for with a rating of half a star. Really, at $160 per night, it's just not worth it. For a few dollars more, one can get a better deal elsewhere, where excellent management is top priority, instead of family ties and squabbles, inappropriate in business affairs.

Otherwise, we slept well. And being on the first floor, loading/unloading to/from our vehicle was easy.

Location seemed good. We were a short walk to the river, a few restaurants and the World's Largest Dinosaur.

So many other hotel/motel properties in the area. Choose them, instead.

Despite the issues, we would consider coming back.

This is not a 5* hotel, but it is a 5* review for a 2 or 3* hotel, or whatever it is. Spacious, clean, great shower and a fair price. I believe our front desk agent's name was Sean yesterday, who was a sweetheart who made us feel welcome. Thank you for an easy overnighter.

Booked this place well in advance and used a MasterCard (first mistake) to secure the reservation. On arrival I was allotted the desired room type (lower level, river side) but once inside that room found there was no stopper for the sink in the bathroom. I brought this to the attention of the manager who was unable to offer a solution except have the room at a reduced price! That being unacceptable, I was moved to another room not on the river side for the balance of the weekend. On check out I used a Visa (second mistake) to pay for the room. Later in the month I got my credit card statements and ta-da...there was a charge on both cards! Not only that but for different amounts! That was 4 months ago and in spite of several phone calls there has been no credit applied to my MasterCard in spite of assurances over the phone that a credit would be processed. For their part, MasterCard will do nothing because of the differing amounts charged therefore not a duplicate. I will make one more trip to this place (a 1.5 hour drive) but not to stay solely to show them my credit card statements and give them an opportunity to make things right. A word of warning to the group going there this weekend...check your credit card statements once you get home!!

Grace, the manager and the owner's daughter, is scattered and does not know what she is doing. Employees have left because of it and guests have not appreciated it. I'm afraid Mr. Se needs to look at management in an enlightened manner, because, ultimately, it's his reputation and his dollar at stake. What a soap opera...yes?

Finally, Drumheller is for tourists. Make your stay much better with a modest upgrade to another property. You will be glad you did.

Great price! Staff was friendly. Beds are not the greatest to sleep on but better then sleeping in a vehicle!

One good thing, the front desk night auditor is a tremendous asset and a lovely guest service provider. If anything, you will be pleased with him.

The first room they gave us had a defective lock. They quickly transferred us to a different room once reported. The next room lost power in the morning (although this might have been our fault using too many heating appliances/devices). In both cases, service was excellent and the staff was quick to respond. They seemed to be in the process of resolving the second issue but we checked out before we could find out.
