Fantastic geological spot. A great place for the kids to climb around too

I have been visiting these hoodoos for over 40 years. The rock formations are stunning and good work has been done to build stairs and conservation areas for this natural wonder. For young kids or adventurous adults, scaling the badlands escarpment can be great fun. Go in the morning to avoid the blazing afternoon heat in the summer. Wear closed toe shoes as it is quite dusty.

Very interesting to see the hoodoos and get some great photos of the unique landscape. Definitely wear athletic footwear if you want to do any climbing. You can climb up the hill but there is no railing and they have had deaths there in the past as recently as 2016 per our tour guide as if you fall there is nothing to catch you and it can be slippery. For this reason I was not keen to have my kids climbing up the hill.
